THOUGHT for the DAY
November 25, 2002
Christ endured the fires of judgment that we might enjoy the forgiveness of GOD.
Read 1 Peter 2:21-25

Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
I send you blessings from Greenbelt MD, a suburb of Washington DC.
I`m just a nobody trying to tell everybody about Somebody who can save anybody.

Let God help Himself to your life!
====================================
I was born and raised in Charleston, WV. Accepted the Lord as my personal
Saviour and was baptized at the age of 12. Joined the Shiloh Baptist Church of
Landover, MD in 1988. One of the most blessed days of my life occurred on
November 22, 1992 when I was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by
Shiloh Baptist Church.
In June 1997, was led by the Lord to move my membership to Landover Memorial
Baptist Church (LMBC). (Effective October, 2001, the name of LMBC was changed to
Woodstream Church) In this new church home, have been active as a leader in the
Small Group ministry and serve as a presenter and counselor for the Network
ministry wherein Woodstream members are helped to define their Spiritual Gift(s)
and find the right ministry in which to serve. Am teaching a course on The 21
Indispensable Qualities of a Leader to the Board of Trustees in Woodstream
Church.
Have been blessed with two daughters and a son and further blessed with four
grandchildren.
Looking back on my spiritual journey to this point, I am thankful for the many
blessings of God: His grace and mercy; a loving family; and the special loved
ones He has placed in my path. Looking forward to the rest of the journey, I am
humbled by how much I still need to grow and at the same time, greatly
encouraged by how much God has already done in my life. The passion of my life
is preaching and teaching the pure unadulterated Word of God.

My children bless me above all that I could ask or think, through their love and
their life for the Lord. Please visit "Lotus_Blossom" and "Saxifrage" on

HOW to DECIDE WHAT`S RIGHT or WRONG
Colossians 3:17 "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
Sometimes it may seem difficult to decide whether certain things are right or
wrong. Of course, some matters, for example, murder, theft, adultery, etc. are
clearly addressed in the Bible and simply need immediate obedience rather than
thoughtful consideration.
Where decisions are not as clear-cut, the following test will bring clarity to
what is right:
1. Can I do this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ?
2. Would this be to His glory?
3. Could I realistically expect His blessing to rest on it?
4. Would I want to be doing this when He comes back again?
If the answer to all four of these questions is yes, then it is ok to say or do
what`s under consideration.
If we apply this test to ALL we SAY and DO, and remember our perpetual duty to
be thankful, we can be sure that we are making Godly decisions.

If you died tonight, do you KNOW that Heaven
would be your home?
I don`t mean think so, guess so, hope so; I mean KNOW beyond a shadow of a
doubt. If you`re not completely certain, please consider the following:
The ROMANS Road Plan of Salvation
The FACT of Sin:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God
The PENALTY for Sin:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The ACOUNTABILITY for Sin:
Romans 14:12 So then everyone of us shall give account of himself to God
The PROVISION for Sin:
Romans 5:8 But God commended his love toward us, in that while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us.
An INVITATION to Become Saved:
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.
PRAY right now for Christ to forgive your sins and come into your heart
and save you!

Salvation is a gift of God,
Not something earned or won;
He freely gives eternal life
To all who trust His Son.
You can have tons of religion without an ounce of salvation.
=====================================
For those of you who are saved, one of the great blessings of salvation is the
ability to spend quiet time with the the Father. Some of us forego this blessing
because we "don`t have time." If you have 7 minutes you could spare on a
consistent basis every day, please click on the "Quiet Time" link for a model
approach.
